Nancy Kail

Nancy Ferris Kail, 93, of Lynchburg, VA, formerly of Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Born in Petoskey, MI, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Pliny B. and Alice Robertson Ferris. She was a graduate of Ohio State University and a retired elementary school teacher with Petersburg Public Schools. Mrs. Kail is survived by her husband, LT COL Ira Joseph Kail, U. S. Army (retired); sons, Dr. James J. â??Jimâ? Kail, DDS and wife, Joan of Chesapeake, VA and Frederick B. â??Boâ? Kail, MSN and wife, Liz of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Kim Armentrout and husband, Darrin of Midlothian, VA, Jeff Kail and wife, Denise of Chesapeake, VA, Kristin Stowe and husband, David of Richmond, VA, Nancy Freerksen and husband, Brian of Lynchburg, VA, Joe Kail and wife, Leana of Lynchburg, VA, and John Kail of Macon, GA; and ten great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at Noon on Saturday, December 5th at St. Paulâ??s Episcopal Church, 110 Union Street, Petersburg, with The Rev. Rick Greenwood, Rector, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
