Nancy Faye Mills

Nancy Fowler Mills, 57, died on Saturday, April 27, 2013, in her home. Born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina on November 22, 1955, she was a daughter of Charles R. Fowler, of Petersburg, Virginia and of the late Frances L. Fowler, Petersburg, Virginia. Mrs. Mills was a dedicated nurse at John Randolph Hospital, in Hopewell, Virginia. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, devoted friend and passionate owner of her beloved pets, Gypsy, Baby Girl and Jack. Mrs. Mills is survived by her husband, Herbert “Ikey” Mills, of Petersburg, Virginia, her only daughter, April L. Wade, of Waverly, Virginia, her beloved granddaughter, Brittany M. Wade, of Waverly, Virginia, her sister Diane F. Garner, of Ivor, Virginia and her brother, Charles Fowler, of Ivor, Virginia, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her beloved sisters, Betty Stallard, of Courtland, Virginia, Mary F. Bell, of Wakefield, Virginia and Ginny F. Davis, of Surry, Virginia. A funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 103 S. Adams St., Petersburg, Virginia, with the Rev. Steve R. Gupton officiating. Burial will be at Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
