Nancy Strawmyer

Nancy France Strawmyer, age 78, of Chester, VA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 05, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jeanette, PA, the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Margaretta Crock France. Mrs. Strawmyer was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Strawmyer. She was a member of Bermuda Hundred United Methodist Church and a volunteer with the Hopewell chapter of the American Red Cross and several other local organizations. Mrs. Strawmyer is survived by five children, Judy McClelland and husband David, Susan Stewart and husband Neil, Kitty Papallo and husband Gregg, Jim Strawmyer and wife Jayme, and David Strawmyer; ten grandchildren, Rick, Meghan, Kristen, Brad, Sarah, Justin, David, Becca, Michael, and Jimmie; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9, in Sunset Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Red Cross.
