Nancy Frances Wall

Nancy Frances Wall “Fran”, 93, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, formerly of Prince George, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hesper and Ponchetta Hedrick Grable; husband, William E. Wall; sister, Barbara Jean Rogers; and brother, Paul Edward Grable. Known as “Fran” to her many friends in Virginia, she was a fixture at Ft. Lee from 1960 until 2009. Fran was heavily involved in many charities to include, The Lioness, USO, Ft. Lee Wives Club, White Cane, Army Relief Fund, Quartermaster Museum and the welcome wagon. She would help any soldier and under privileged child in need. It was said she got more children glasses and hearing aids than anyone in history. Fran was an avid golfer at the Cardinal Ft. Lee Golf Course. She was a fanatical Prince George Royals fan. She knew most of the students, parents and teachers. She attended many Prince George High School reunions. She was loving, kind, high spirited and never met a stranger. Fran will be remembered as a loving mother and wife and for having a soft spot in her heart for everyone she met. If you wanted something done, give it to Fran. She is survived by her son, William John Wall and wife, Carolyn Albert Wall; daughter, Nancy Wall Burress and husband, Lester, III; three grandchildren, Lester Clayton Burress, IV and wife, Erin, Brian Albert Wall and wife, Angela, and Eric Bates Wall and wife, Julia; six great-grandchildren, Vivien Rae Burress, Stella Rae Burress, Bailey Madison Wall, Braxton Lee Wall, Keegan Bates Wall and Riley Page Wall; and sister, Lorene Sullivan. Due to possible weather conditions, the date for the service has been moved to the following weekend. A graveside service will now be held at 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Southlawn Memorial Park.
