Nannie Powell

Nannie â??Margieâ? Campbell Powell, 83, of Hopewell, went to be with the Lord, Sunday July 15, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stokes & Nannie Florene Gibson Campbell, her husband, Godfrey S. Powell, six sisters, five brothers, and two grandsons, Christopher M. Pillow & Sean Voiles. She was retired from Roses Department Store where she worked as a cafeteria worker for many years. She is survived by two daughters; Judy P Hassell of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Jean P. Smith of Hopewell, grandson; Cody A. Smith of Hopewell, granddaughter; Kim V. Gill and husband, Bobby, of Prince George County, great granddaughters; Nikki Hassell & Kayla Gill both of Prince George County, Lydia Brown of Iwinton, GA, great-great-grandson, Zane T. James & Margaret Manley of Big Island Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 17, 2007 from 6 -8 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at Merchants Hope Memorial Park in Prince George County Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Plvan of the Nazareth Lutheran Church of Hopewell, interment will follow.
