Nannie Lou Deans Rhoney, 67, a resident of Zuni, died Thursday, November 20, 2008. Born on February 25, 1941 in Selma, NC she was the daughter the late Ohnie H. and Hattie Lucille Page Deans.
She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church and served as church pianist for many years. She also served in the Sunday School Department with the young people.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Larry Rhoney; five sons, Terry L. Rhoney, Theodore W. Rhoney and Troy H. Rhoney both of Zuni, Thomas G. Rhoney of Ivor, and Timothy C. Rhoney of Chesapeake; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a brother in law, Wilbur J. Twine of Durham , NC; one niece and one nephew.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 11AM in Faith Baptist Church in Waverly by Rev. Lewis Lawson. Christian committal will follow in the Ivor Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday at the Purviance Chapel of J.T.. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield from 3:00 to 5PM.. The family is being served by J.T.Morriss & Son, Purviance Chapel.
