Naomi Riddle Wyatt

Naomi (Oma) Riddle Wyatt, of Hopewell, departed her life on Friday, June 13, 2014. Born in Hopewell, Va. and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Virginia Paxton Riddle. She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Leon Wyatt. Mrs. Wyatt was a designer and co-owner of Wyatt’s Florist with her loving husband, Jimmy from 1952 until they retired in 1986. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving her memory, is her loving and devoted husband of many wonderful years, James Lee Wyatt; son, Barry Lee Wyatt and his wife, Deborah Brown Wyatt; three grandchildren, Brandon James Wyatt, Kristen Marie Wyatt Bentley and her husband, Ryan Bentley; Amanda Dawn Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Alexander Bentley and Preslee Anne Bentley; one sister, Virgie Riddle Gardner; two nephews, Dr. David L. Gardner, Ret. Marine Capt. Daniel H. Gardner. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
