Nathan Mathew Wood

Nathan Mathew Wood, 83, of Chester, VA passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019. Born April 14, 1936 in Pipestem, WV. He was the youngest son of the late Alexander and Elma Wood. He is survived by his love companion, Ellen Gadd; daughter, Donna Wood Fosse (Mark); granddaughter, Megan Brooke Hensley (Logan); grandson, Joshua Matthew Marc Fosse; son, John Jones (Julie); and grandson, Benjamin Jones. He had three bonus children, Richard, Tammy and Donna with grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters; Jan Beyerl and Maxine Hopkins. He had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00p.m. on Thrusday, October 17, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
