Neil Randolph Moody, 89, of Petersburg died Friday, March 12, 2010. He was predeceased by his parents Robert L. â??Bobâ? and Lillie May Williamson Moody, wife Birdie Parham Moody, a brother Calvin L. Moody and sister Vernelle M. Fisher. He was an active member of Livingston Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He was an expert auto mechanic and was a former service manager at Beck Motor Company, also a former employee of Master Chevrolet and retired from Leete Tire and Auto Center. He is survived by his sister, Muriel Rathien of Dinwiddie; daughter, Donna Brady; grandson, Raymond L. Neace, III and wife, Ashley; granddaughter, Chantel Brady all of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Barbara Davis Moody of Manassas; step daughter, Lois Ridout Tatum and husband, Jerry of Prince George; step son, Herbert Lee Ridout and wife Deloris of Dinwiddie; step grandson, Jon Wesley Tatum of Chester; step granddaughter, Lea Ridou Tatum of Colonial Heights; one great granddaughter, Aliyah Carr; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Rev. Carl Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park.
