Nellie Kessler

Nellie Kessler, 83, of Chester, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Oscar James and Nellie Strong Kessler. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Kessler Johnson, and brothers, Oscar â??Buckâ? Kessler, Jr. and William Edward Kessler. She is survived by her sister, Bettie Ann Nunnally and husband James; specially adopted son, Steve Haynes and wife Renee; nieces, Tracy Nunnally DeLuca and Robyn Nunnally; nephews, James H. Nunnally, Jr. and wife Pat, David Nunnally, William Kessler, Jr., Michael Kessler and wife Karen; sister-law, Doris Kessler; special cousins, Helen and Gladys; several great nieces and nephews and many devoted friends and neighbors. She was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church. She retired from the American Tobacco Company after 38 ½ years of dedicated service and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Vikings. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8th at the Chester Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
