Nelson Jackson

Nelson Eugene Jackson, age 84, born and raised in Petersburg, VA, died June 22, 2011 in Panama City Beach Florida. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Peters Jackson; son, Steven Nelson Jackson; father, George Washington Jackson, Sr.; mother, Ruth Burnett Jackson; brothers, George Washington Jackson, Jr. and Robert Olin Jackson; and sisters, Ruth Elnora J. Slaughter and Helen Elizabeth J. Harrup. Mr. Jackson is survived by sister, Joan J. Fox; brother, Franklin â??Buddyâ? Randolph Jackson; sister-in-laws, Ellen Blake Jackson and Anne Blankenship Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; Bellwood Flee Market friends; and former Fort Lee co-workers. Nelson was a retired federal employee and a World War II veteran. The family would like to express special appreciation to his sister, Joan Fox, and his nephew, Lloyd Fox, for their extensive, daily loving care. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Petersburg chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
