Nettie Turner Martin

Nettie Turner Martin, 91, of Chester, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, John G. and Odie Oakley Turner; husband, Louis James Martin; and brother, Russell Turner. Nettie was a member of Ironbridge Baptist and enjoyed doing water aerobics at the Chester YMCA. She is survived by her sons, Clifford L. Martin and Larry J. Martin; daughter, Gale M. Darby; “daughter”, Carole Lea Hengle; sister, Odie T. Rodgers; sister-in-law, Jane Turner; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bensley-Bermuda Volunteer Rescue Squad Inc., P.O.
