Newit Edward Cabell, Jr., 72, of Sedley, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newit E. Cabell, Sr. and Evelyn Williams Cabell.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil Cabell; his children, Steven Cabell, Debra Bradshaw, Billie Lang, Bobbie Butler, Bettie Walker, Jeanie Jackson and Dell Wilson; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home and the funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ivor Fire Department, P.O. Box 213, Ivor, VA 23866 or to the Ivor Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 228, Ivor, VA 23866. The family is being served by the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield.
