Norma Elizabeth Berisford, 88, of S. Prince George, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016. Born in Graysville, WV, she was the daughter of the late C. E. Carmichael and Olive Durrah Carmichael. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Lester Berisford; brother, Robert Carmichael; and sister, Lena Bilby. Norma is survived by her son, Robert L. “Butch” Berisford; two daughters, Debra Daniel (John) and Pamela Turner (Harry); grandchildren, Amanda Arnold (Adam), Leslie Wargofcak (Josh), Jennifer Burrow, Jessica Vlkojan (George “Scooter”), Kayleigh Rosenthal (Brandon), and Traci Pillsbury (Mitchell “Mitch”); great-grandchildren, Gabriel Arnold, Levi Wargofcak, Lucas Wargofcak, Jonas Wargofcak, Briana Burrow, Karlee Vlkojan, Baylee Vlkojan, Colton Rosenthal and Payton Pillsbury; and sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Colleen Carmichael. Norma was a member of Gary’s UMC in Prince George and was a former long-time member of her hometown church, Graysville UMC in West Virginia. She was employed with Sears and Roebuck retiring after 45 years of service. Norma enjoyed boating, the beach and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest passion in life was her family who she loved dearly. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. after the visitation. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
