Norma Henshaw

Norma "Hazel" Henshaw, age 83, departed this life unexpectedly on Friday, December 2, 2022, in Layton, Utah. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Owen and Zephyr Millie McLean; her beloved husband, Benjamin Douglas Henshaw; her daughter, Teresa Young; and son-in-law, Danny Young.

Hazel is survived by her children, Douglas (Susan) Henshaw, of Dinwiddie, Virginia, Diane (Charles) Gooss, of Layton, Utah, Debbie Galloway, of Petersburg, and Wanda Traylor (Sandra), of Chesterfield Virginia; and siblings, Ulysses McLean, Mary Joan Mann, Marlene Walker, Claudine Rudd, Harold McLean, Linda Dean, and Roger McLean. She also had 26 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-grandchildren.

Everyone who knows Hazel, remembers her warm smile and radiating love. She never met a stranger, and touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Hazel was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to sing the hymns. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Playing scrabble with her meant a sure defeat for you. Her favorite color was purple, and her surroundings showed that in every way.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 1 pm, at the Petersburg Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 1800 Johnson Road, Petersburg VA 23805. Interment will be private. Condolences may be registered at www.JTMorriss.com .
