Norman Eugene Shreves

Norman Eugene Shreves, 83, of Chester, VA, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Lough and her husband, Harold; and his three brothers, Bert “June” R. Shreves, Jr., Robert “Bob” Shreves and James “Jim” Shreves. Norman was retired from National Welders and was an avid golfer. He loved West Virginia basketball and football. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margie A. Shreves; son, Steven Shreves and wife, Connie; daughter, Tammy Carrington and husband, William; six grandchildren, Courtney (Pat), Emily (Josue), Jacob, Joshua, Jimmy, and Rachel (Trenton); two great grandchildren, Luke and Ava; brother, Layman C. Shreves and wife, Delores and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the funeral home with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
