Orville Brazzi

Orville C. Brazzi, 82, of Ivor passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011. Mr. Brazzi served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a Glazier for Walker & Laberge Glass Company of Norfolk after 31 years of employment in 1991. After retirement he worked at Ivor Hardware. He was a member of Ivor Ruritan Club where he served as Treasurer for many years. Mr. Brazzi also served on the Ivor Town Council from 2002 to 2004. He was an avid Redskins and Nascar fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Joseph Brazzi and Alma Catherine Asmussen Brazzi and his brother, Leonard Brazzi.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche Baugham Brazzi; children, Jim Brazzi and wife, Patti, Al Brazzi and wife, Kim, Pat Bajsert and husband, Brian and Emily Godwin and husband, Jack; grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Chris, Samantha, Tom, Nick, Michael, and Matthew; great grandchildren, Liam, Chloe, Tina, and Samantha; brothers, Herbert and Gerald Brazzi; sister, Fern Cardoza and numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Ozzie.
The family will receive friends at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Baugham officiating. Burial will follow in Ivor Cemetery.
