Oscar Edwards

Oscar Lee Edwards, 64, of Sutherland died Thursday, November 03, 2005 at his home. He was born in Pitt Co., NC and was the son of the late Kinchen R. and Ruby Gay Edwards. He worked for Parker Oil Co. for many years and was very active in community affairs. He is survived by his wife, Joan M. Edwards; four children, Jeffrey H. Edwards and wife, Caren Edwards and Daniel L. Edwards all of Dinwiddie, Michelle Moon and husband, Frank R. Moon of Vinton, VA and Michael S. Mullins of Colonial Heights; two sisters, Jean Barnes and husband, David W. Barnes of Petersburg and Geraldine Emory and husband, William Emory of South Hill, VA; brother, Robert Edwards of McKenney; eight grandchildren, Collin L. Edwards of Dinwiddie, Derrick Mullins of Colonial Heights, Brice Moon, Taylor Moon, Dabney Moon and Abigail Moon all of Vinton, VA, Caitlyn Flaim and Scott Flaim both of Dinwiddie; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Caswell of England and Pamela M. Gongloff of Colonial Heights. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
