Portia Elizabeth Falk Smelley, 90, of Petersburg, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Evander A. Falk and Portia Agnes Taylor Falk. She was the widow of Henry Richard Smelley. She was a dedicated member of the First Christian Church in Petersburg. She is survived by her three daughters Mildred â??Millieâ? Traylor (Gene), Catherine S. Fisher, and Jean S. Hannon (Richard); six grandsons, David Traylor (Gayla), Keith Traylor (Donna), Mike Fisher (Patty), Matt Fisher (Maria), Brian Hannon (Melina), and Patrick Hannon (Meredith); one sister, Janis Toombs; a devoted friend, Pauline Smith; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 pm Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior before service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park.
