Pasqualena Collins Woods

Pasqualena Collins Woods, 67, of Galax, VA, passed away on September 19, 2021. Pasqualena was born in Hopewell, VA on November 11, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Theodore and Sendella Collins;
and her brother, Raymond Collins. She is survived by her loving husband, Chris, of 32 years; daughters, Sendella King (Greg), Rebecca Stallings (Stephen), Michelle Upton (Richard), Sarah Blevins (Chris), Ellen Farmer (Jessie); son, Christopher Woods; grandchildren, Evan King, Lena King, Nicholas King, Aiden Stallings, John Stallings, Michael Stallings, Virginia Upton, Lila Upton, Sophia Upton, Bo Upton, Emma Blevins, Anna Blevins, Mia Farmer and Elaina Farmer; and sister-in-law, Veronica Collins. In addition, Pasqualena had many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends whom she deeply loved.
Pasqualena, who went by the nickname Pat, was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and close friend, who loved a full house. She enjoyed early mornings, long prayer times with the Lord, planning her next “project” with her husband, and caring for the deer and backyard wildlife. Pat had an eye for design, spent many years as a floral designer, and was known to be one of the best cooks around. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing games, cooking fantastic meals, and just having everyone together. Pat had a bright and energetic personality and touched many lives with her generosity and love.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Hopewell, VA. Funeral services will be Saturday September 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., also at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with graveside service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
