Patricia Ackerman Aultman

Patricia "Pat" Arlene Ackerman Aultman, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, after a valiant battle with dementia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Beulah Ackerman; and a brother, Ronnie Ackerman.
Pat was raised in Hopewell, Virginia, and graduated Hopewell High School in 1971. She then obtained a bachelor's degree from Bryant and Stratton College in Business Management.
Pat loved reading mystery stories especially written by John Grisham. She was employed by Phillip Morris for 17 years, Allied Chemical for 12 years, and Virginia Sealings Products for 10 years before retiring.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved her grandchildren who were the apple of her eye.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph R. Aultman; daughter, Tina Lynn Aultman; three grandchildren, Meghan Shinabery and husband, David, Christopher Aultman and wife, Britney, and Charles Aultman and wife, Alexis; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Mark Ackerman.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 West Broadway Avenue, Hopewell, VA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the funeral home, with brother-in-law, Jimmy Aultman officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
