Patricia Brown

Mrs. Patricia Kelly Brown, 72, of Petersburg, VA died at Southside Regional Medical Center on January 16, 2004 following a brief illness. Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Kelly of Hyde Park, Mass. She was a graduate of St. Margaret’s Hospital School of Nursing in Dorchester, Mass. She served her country as a lieutenant Flight Nurse in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. “Pat” was a nurse in the Petersburg Public School system for many years and in addition served as cheer leader coach at Petersburg High School for much of that time. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of numerous other local organizations. Mrs. Brown is survived by a sister, Marie Frank of Hawaii; a close cousin, Geraldine Hughes of Braintree, Mass; a niece, Dr. Kelli-Ann Voloch of Hawaii and five nephews. She was predeceased by a beloved daughter, Margaret Ann Brown and also by a brother Paul Kelly of Mass. A wake service will be conducted Tuesday January 20, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 7 PM with visitation to follow, a Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at the church at 11 AM Wednesday January 21, 2004, interment will follow in St Joseph’s Cemetery. The family is being served by the Petersburg chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral.
