Patricia Irene Holdren

Patricia Irene Holdren, 73, of Chesterfield, departed this life on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. She was predeceased by her father, F.A. Holdren; step father, C.L. Whitehurst; and sister, Marsha Brantley. She is survived by her mother, Emily Whitehurst; sister, Beth Hawks (Duane); brother, Kurt Holdren; brother-in-law and special friend, Bill Brantley; niece Brittany Calhoun; 5 nieces, and 2 nephews. Miss Holdren dedicated her life to Thomas Dale High School during her 35 year career. She was a teacher, coach, and the first female Athletic Director in the metro area, appointed by Mr. Jimmy F. Sublett. In retirement, she worked as a courier for CowanGates law firm, where she enjoyed a lot of laughs. She was a lover of horses and spent many hours of enjoyment with her friends, whom she referred to as her life line, at Hampden Row, aka “the barn”. A memorial service will be held at Riptides, 11212 Iron Bridge Road, Chester, 23831 on Sunday, January 7 at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the J.
