Patricia Corey Kirk

Patricia C. Kirk, 72, of Petersburg, VA, departed this life at sunset on Sunday, July 16, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Corey, of Tulsa, OK. Pat received her Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Medicine from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. After having worked in that field for several years, she later graduated with a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She worked as a therapist in private practice until her retirement in 2017. Pat is survived by one son, David Corey Kirk, of Petersburg, VA; and ex-husband, Marcus M. Kirk, also of Petersburg; one sister, Ms. Mary Corey, of Tulsa, OK. A celebration of Pat's life will be held at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, 8300 Richmond Road, Toano, VA, on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 5:00 pm. Interment will be private. The family offers its sincere and heartfelt thanks to Amedisys Home Healthcare for all the help and compassion they showed to Pat and the family.
