Patricia Jessica Martin

Patricia Jessica Martin, 50, of Dewitt, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016. She was born in Owosso, Michigan to her mother, Sherry VanKuren Grizzard, and her father who preceded her, Patrick Benjamin Gallop. Patricia was also preceded in death by her step-father, William H. Grizzard, III; grandparents, Lawrence Aaron VanKuren, Sr. and Violet Myla VanKuren. She is survived by her husband, Geoffrey Martin; two children, Christian Gallop and Trista Gallop-Martin; five grandchildren, Makayla, Phillip, Dylan, Jazmyn, and Harmonie; mother, Sherry Grizzard; two uncles, Benjamin VanKuren and Dan VanKuren; aunt, Karen Losey; great-uncle, Sydney Quipp; and two great-aunts, Gen Smithers and Ione Lowder. Patricia was an avid reader. She enjoyed finding humor in life and her favorite holidays were Halloween and April fool’s day. Patricia had a strong passion for her grandchildren and loved them dearly. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the ARC, Association for Retarded Citizens.
