Patricia Louise Martin, affectionately known as Pat, peacefully passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 88, in Chesterfield, Virginia. She was born on July 25, 1935, in Richmond, Virginia, and was cherished as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Left to treasure her memory are her brother, Roland Canary, Jr.; daughter, Brenda Parker; son, Mike Martin; son-in-law, Robert Parker; daughter-in-law, Mary Martin; granddaughters, Cynthia Parker and Maryann Galiszewski; grandsons, Michael Parker and Jason Martin; and great-grandchildren, Katie Williamson, Zoe Martin, Tori Martin, Cody Martin, and Bella Guy.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Roland Patrick Canary, Sr.; mother, Emmaline Crawford Canary; ex-husband, Lionel Martin, Sr.; son, Lionel Martin, Jr.; brother, Daniel Canary; and her beloved partner, Jim Rose.
Throughout her career, Patricia devoted her time and talents to various esteemed organizations, including C.F. Sauers Co., Farmfresh, Foodlion, Maxim Medical, and Merit Medical. Her dedication and commitment left a lasting impact within these establishments.
In her leisurely moments, Patricia found solace in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in the company of books, casting her line into the waters for a relaxing fishing trip, immersing herself in the tranquility of nature during camping excursions, and gracefully dancing during her vibrant youth.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Family will receive friends following the service.
As we bid farewell to Patricia, we hold dear the memories she created, the love she shared, and the impact she made on our lives. Her legacy will forever be etched in our hearts, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul find eternal peace.
