Patricia Martin Parrish

Patricia Ann Martin Parrish, 82, of Prince George, VA, was received in heaven on February 3, 2024. Pat was born and raised in Chesterfield County and graduated from Thomas Dale High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille V. Martin and Walter C. Martin; and grandson, Shawn Matthew Parrish.

After 44 years of service, Pat retired from E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. (DuPont) of Chesterfield County. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and volunteered at "The Shepherd's Place." During those 44 years of shift work, she raised a family of seven. Pat had a passion for gardening, cooking for the holidays, enjoying vacationing in Myrtle Beach, and attending sports events with her children and grandchildren. Most of all, she was a devoted daughter and caregiver to her mother, Lucille.

She is survived by her brother, Winston C. Martin; four sons, Michael L. Parrish (Wanda), Shawn M. Parrish, Dennis W. Parrish (Holly), and Kenneth D. Parrish (Jill); three daughters, Joyce A. Lewis, Terri L. Parrish, and Kimberly P. Hughes (Tommy); and grandchildren, Jessica, Jason, Matthew, Lauren, Tripp, Lyndsay, Leonard, Logan, Ashton, Haley, Corey, and Adrie; as well as, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; nieces, Cindy Pearce, Tammy Martin, and Jenny Laughon; and nephew, Curtis Martin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the funeral home, with Pastor Renee Teague, of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating. The interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park, in Chester.
