Patricia Walters Puryear

Patricia Walters Puryear, 65, of Chester, VA passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Mabel Walters; sisters, Dorothy Sink, Peggy Hall and Emma Jean Morris; brothers, Dallas V. Walters, Jr., Paul Walters and Carlton Walters. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William “Bill” Puryear; son, William “Tommy” Puryear; sisters, Jessie Rodgers, Faye Ford; brothers, Johnny Walters and wife Phyllis, Gene Walters, Bobby Walters and wife Rhonda; numerous extended family and friends. Patricia retired from HH Grandis Properties with over 36 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and sister who loved spending time with her family. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831 and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday June 27, 2016 at Brooks & White Funeral Home 907 Durham Rd. Roxboro, NC 27573. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Brooks & White Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
