Patricia Jane Reed

Patricia Jane Reed, 79, of Chester, VA, died surrounded by family Saturday, May 9, 2015. She was born in Brownfield, PA the daughter of the late Jessie and Mildred Mitchell. Before moving to Virginia, three years ago, Patricia lived in Milltown, NJ for 33 years and was an avid NY Yankees and tennis fan. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph H. Reed; three sons, Michael Reed and wife, Pam, Steve Reed and wife, Annette, and Craig Reed and wife, Becky; one brother, Richard Mitchell; two sisters, Judy Frye and husband, Roger and Jeannette Connell and husband, John; three grandsons, Joshua, Matthew and Nickolas; one granddaughter, Crystal; one great-granddaughter, Emyrsen; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Reed and brother, Edward Mitchell. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son on Tuesday, May 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Chester UMC on Wednesday, May 13th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sylvia Meadows officiating. A funeral service will also be held at noon on Friday, May 15th, at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd, Akron, OH, 44312, with interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
