Patrick Thomas Harvey, Sr.

Patrick Thomas Harvey, Sr., 73, of Hopewell, VA passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018. Born in Newport, RI he was the son of the late Joseph and Amelia Harvey; and was also preceded in death by a sister, Janis Bedsole; and a nephew, Billy Weaver. Mr. Harvey was a graduate of Hopewell High School and retired from the railroad as an Engineer after many years of service. He was a United States Navy veteran and was a member of DuPont Lodge #289 A.F. & A.M. Mr. Harvey was a loving and devoted father, brother and uncle. He is survived by two sons, Patrick Harvey, Jr. and Mark Harvey; four sisters, Carol Weaver, Susan Harvey Sober, Linda Davis and Gloria Harvey Hays; two nieces, Angel Tisdale and Tami Sober; and five nephews, Chuck Dibbs, Jimmy Weaver, Daryl Sober, Shane Davis and Chris Hays. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the funeral home. A committal service will be held at 10am on Monday, February 5, 2018 in Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
