Patrick Hayes

After a long and fulfilling life, Patrick Harry Hayes, 69, of Chester died Thursday, August 04, 2005 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Somerville, NJ and graduated from Union Junior College, NJ with a major in engineering. He retired as a mechanical engineer with Philip Morris where he received numerous patent awards. He is survived by his wife, Velma M. Hayes; three children, Donna H. Finkernagel and husband, Mark, Dianna H. Young and Sean A. Hayes; mother, Beatrice G. Hayes; two sisters, Ginny H. Wilson and Eileen Osterby; six grandchildren, Kyle, Taylor, Hannah and Luke Finkernagel, T. J. and Sarah Young; two step-daughters, Sharon Baker-Holdsworth and husband, Bob and Sheila B. Coffield and husband, Matthew; and two step-grandchildren, Brandon A. Culliton, Corporal U. S. Marine Corps, currently serving his second tour in Iraq, and Brooke Culliton. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with entombment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
