Patrick Arthur Tanis

Patrick Arthur Tanis, 84, of Manassas, Virginia, and formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday December 12, 2017 at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was the son of the late Mary Frances and Arthur F. Tanis. Patrick was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and he was a very active in the Manassas Senior Center where he sat on their board. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Kay Tanis (Valkier); and his brother, Fredrick (John) Tanis. He is survived by his children; daughters, Lisa Tanis of Manassas VA and Paula Tanis of Manassas VA; a son, Kurt F. Tanis of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael, Kathryn, Daniel and Grace; sister, Florence Tanis; sister-in-law, Sharon Tanis; nephew, David C. Tanis; and a niece, Kristen (Tanis) Nickelson. All services will be private.
