Paul Clements

Paul Bennett Clements, 57, of Chesterfield, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Pittard Clements. Paul was a graduate of Dinwiddie High School, held an Associates Degree from Richard Bland College where he served as president of Alpha Phi Omega and a Bachelors Degree from VCU. He was a former Petersburg firefighter and a former member of Carson Volunteer Fire Department. He had a long career in information systems and programming, most recently with UPS Freight in Richmond. Paul was a member of Carson United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and was a lifelong musician. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Clements; daughter, Susannah Bishop; father, John H. Clements; brother, Peter Clements and wife, Jennifer; sisters, Martha Clements and husband, Malcolm Warneford-Thomson, Kimberly Clements; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. A memorial service will be held at noon on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Carson United Methodist Church, inurnment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Food Bank or the Richmond SPCA.
