Paul Bowers King, 94, of Midlothian, formerly of Hopewell, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 15, 1913 in Littleton North Carolina. He was predeceased by his wife, Lois Montine King and his parents, Robert Alston & Nettie Wise King. He was the former owner operator of King Electric Company in Hopewell, member of First Methodist Church in Hopewell and lately of Emmaus Christian Church of Midlothian, long time member of Hopewell, VA. Rotary Club, Jordan Point Country Club, Hopewell Moose lodge 1472, and was affiliated with The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 666, Richmond, Virginia. He is survived by his son Roger A. King & daughter-in-law Ida Louise of Midlothian, brother; Stanley R. King & wife, Mary of Littleton, NC., sisters; Lucy Frazier of Huntsville, Texas, Clara Perkinson of Clarksburg, WV., Ellen Umphlett of Littleton, NC., Martha Jones of Clarksville, VA., Louise Marks & husband, Benjamin of Hopewell, Jean Harris & husband, James of Kearnsville, NC., and a brother-in-law Young H. Bobbitt Jr. & wife Hazel of Richmond. The family will receive friends Friday April 6, 2007, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 PM in the funeral Home chapel with the Rev. O.H. Burton officiating. Interment will be in Merchant Hope Memorial Gardens Prince George County, Virginia. There will be a reception held at the Jordan Point Country Club following the interment at 2:30 PM.
