Paul Nicely

Paul Jackson Nicely, 70, of Hopewell died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at his home. He was born in Covington, VA and was the son of the late Roy Jackson and Mary Ann Smith Nicely. He served in the U. S. Air Force and retired from Honeywell. He enjoyed hunting and gardening and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hopewell. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn R. Nicely; five children and their spouses, Thomas and Teresa Nicely of Chesterfield, Wanda and John Stancil of Hopewell, Doris and John Nowlan of Chesterfield, Cynthia Moore of Henrico and Susan and Richard Wagner of Disputanta; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gordon Nicely of Prince George, Edward Nicely of Covington and Robert Nicely of Chesterfield; and two sisters, Betty Haynes of Covington and Elizabeth Spinks of White Sulfur Springs, WV. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bill Wash, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
