Paul Lowry Westerholm (The Clock Man)

Paul Lowry Westerholm, (The Clock Man) of Hopewell, VA, life clock stopped peacefully at home on October 29, 2015 at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Westerholm and Lois Howard Westerholm, and his beloved Miniature Schnauzer Blue.
He served in the U.S. Army and later retired from Allied Chemical. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend whose humor was as kooky as all of his clocks. His passions included restoring antique Mustangs and collecting and restoring antique American clocks. After retirement his antique clock hobby became a full time job and was lovingly known as “The Clock Man”. He was the past president of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc., Old Dominion Chapter No. 34.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris Wilson Westerholm and his daughters, Susan Gill (Bobby) and Lori Lagassey of Hopewell, VA, and his sons, William Westerholm of Richmond, VA and Christopher Westerholm of Ashville, NC; five grandchildren, Perrin, Kayla, Alec, Candice and Dani, and one great-grandchild, Sarah. He is also survived by his sister, Ingrid Comer (Carlyle) of Colonial Heights, VA, his beloved Miniature Schnauzer, Maxwell, and many relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ronald K. Bullis, LPC officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
