Paula Angelica May Graham, 38, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015. She is survived by her husband, David Graham; son, Liam Graham; parents, Paul Walker Askins and Alexandra Stevenson Askins; two sisters, Sara Baker and her husband, Ike, and Constance Askins; two cousins, Suzanne Godwin and Charles Stevenson; and two nephews, Matthew Baughman and Joseph Baughman. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charlie Stevenson, Sr. and May Ida Stevenson; paternal grandparents, Paul Askins and Margaret Askins; and uncle, Charlie Stevenson, Jr., and his wife, Angelina. Paula was an incredibly loving mother who cherished her son, Liam. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. Paula was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She graduated from Brooke Point High School, class of 1995 in Stafford, VA. Paula went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from George Mason University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University. Paula was a Major in the United States Army Reserves. She was a proud Veteran having served her country in the Iraq War. Her decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, and the Reserve Components Medal. Paula also worked in Civil Service. She was a Budget Analyst at the Combined Arms Support Command in Fort Lee. In her free time she enjoyed running and participated in many marathons. She attended Enon Baptist Church in Chester, VA. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Enon Baptist Church, 13607 N. Enon Church Rd, Chester, VA 23836. Visitation will follow until 9:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd., Triangle, VA 22172. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675, to assist others military veterans with PTSD.
