Paula Oden Grove

Paula Oden Grove, 83, of Chester, VA, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024. Born in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Anne Santangelo Oden; and was also preceded in death by four siblings, Kathleen Mullican, Sylvia Hammond, Rosemary Miller and Richard Oden. Mrs. Grove was the swim team coach at Sherwood Hill Swim Club for over 20 years and then started her own swim team at the Hopewell Community Center. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Grove is survived by her husband of 63 years, William H. Grove; two daughters, Tori A. Fencl and husband, Eric, and Deneen G. Bauer; four grandchildren, Breanne Fencl, Evan Fencl and wife, Maddie, Lindsey Brooks and husband, John, and Ryan Bauer; a great-granddaughter on the way; one brother, James Jude Oden and wife, Allene; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
