Payton Lynn Faulkner

June 15, 2004 — June 30, 2022

Payton Lynn Faulkner, better known as PayPay or Faulk, left us suddenly on Thursday, June 30, 2022. He was born and raised in Disputanta and loved being from Prince George County. Payton was born June 15, 2004 to his loving parents Christopher and Jacqueline (J.J.) Faulkner and will be immensely missed by his little sister, Miranda Christian Faulkner. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lynn Thomas Janosik (Mary). He will forever be loved by his grandparents, Cynthia Marr Pawlick (Steve), Mary Ellison Gray (Ernie), William Ricky Faulkner (Loretta); as well as Paul and Hazel Richmond; a massive extended family, Kim Pawlick, Addie Pawlick, Ricky Faulkner (Sarah), Barbara Dean (Johnny), Timothy Richmond (Perry); and an abundance of great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.

While he was only here a short time, Payton experienced a pretty amazing life and impacted many. He was smart, talented, caring, devoted, helpful to those who needed him, and the life of the party. He was a recent 2022 Graduate with Honors from Prince George High School and received his Associates in Science Degree from Richard Bland College of William & Mary. He was ready and excited to go off to James Madison University in the fall to pursue engineering. His love for baseball started at a very early age, and there were times he spent every available moment playing or helping others with the sport he loved. The sport not only gave him opportunities to do amazing things and visit places he would have never had the chance to visit without baseball, but above all, it gave him a deep-rooted family of coaches, players, and their families that will extend past his short lifetime and go on forever. He looked up to so many players before him and wanted to always make sure he took care of the ones to come. When he wasn't playing baseball, he would spend his time hunting and fishing every chance he could. His pure love and devotion for his family and friends was beyond measure. It was felt by so many, and he never met a stranger. The memories and the laughs he leaves behind will be cherished forever by those who knew him, whether it was just for a moment or for his lifetime. Whether it was the clothes, corn hole games, cards, dance moves, or just plain standing out - they will never be forgotten. He wanted to leave a mark, make the best of every moment, always have fun and just keep "livin."

A Celebration of Life will be held at Unity Baptist Church in Prince George, VA on Friday, July 8, 2022, beginning at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at Southlawn Memorial Park in South Prince George, VA.
