Peggy Elaine Bendall

Peggy Elaine Sheneman Bendall, 87, a longtime resident of Disputanta, VA, widow of Richard Walter Bendall, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in Keene, TX. She lived in Virginia, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas over the years and served the Seventh-day Adventist denomination in an administrative support role serving alongside her husband as he was transferred to different positions. Peggy is best known as a kind, warm, generous and loving person. To know her was to love her. She was an only child but when she married Richard she gained a huge family in the Bendalls, who have loved her as their own sister. She leaves behind a family who adored her. Survivors include her children, Doug Bendall and wife Beth, Barbie Simons and husband Torrence, Bev Crain and husband Don; grandchildren, Courtney Crain, Brittany Crain, Mason Bendall, Jack Bendall, Brad Davis and wife Mandy, Rob Davis, Brandon Simons and wife Michelle, Justin Simons and wife Chandie; great grandchildren, Abigail Acosta, Madison Simons, Chanel Merwin and Seth Simons; brothers-in-law, Joe Bendall and wife Sue, Henry Bendall, Lee Bendall; sisters-in-law, Marie Bendall, Ruth Ann Imbraguglio and husband Paul, Lena Wood, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bendall Family Cemetery, 7348 Bendall Lane, Disputanta, VA 23842.
