Peggy Gay Faulkner

Peggy "Nana" Gay Faulkner, 81, of Dinwiddie, VA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. She was born May 21, 1943, in Petersburg, VA, to the late Sarah Harrison Gay and James Edward Gay, Sr. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John William Faulkner, Jr.; son, Bruce Edward Faulkner, Sr.; and a brother, Robert "Bobby" Allen Gay.
Peggy was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She leaves to cherish a lifetime of love and memories, a son, John Michael Faulkner (Dayna); five grandchildren, Melissa Faulkner, Bruce Faulkner, Jr. (Heather), Matthew Faulkner (Sarah), Ashley Faulkner, and Megan Faulkner (Victor); eight great-grandchildren, Emily, Skylar, Nevaeh, Penelope, Noah, Kinley, Angilee, and Domonic; a sister, Emma "Pug" Davis; three brothers, Gary Gay (Pat), Ricky Gay (Red), and Jimmy Gay (Connie); and extended family, Dinelle Stone and Leigh Ragsdale. We would like to thank Dayna for being Nana's caregiver the last few months as her health started to decline, we truly appreciate everything you have done for her.
A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with Reverend Joe Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 5 p.m. Following the services, the family will have a small Celebration of Life at Johnny and Dayna's home.
