Peggy H. Broughton

Mrs. Peggy Ann Hoover Broughton 71, of Hopewell, Va. died Sunday, August 15, 2004 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Williamsport, Pa. and was a resident of Hopewell since 1976. Mrs. Broughton attended Woodlawn Baptist Church and did ironing in her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin L. and Ora Fritchel Schlauch, Sr., and her husband, Thomas L. Broughton and a brother, Melvin L. Schlauch, Jr... Surviving are two daughters, Linda L. Rieck and her husband, David, of Avis, Pa. and Paulette S. Trimmer and husband, Melvin of Prince George, five grandchildren, David II, Joseph, Matthew, Adam and Aaron, two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Adam, and a sister, Jean L. Schick of Montoursville, Pa. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 7-8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 11AM in the Woodlawn Baptist Church, with Rev. Ken Hendricks, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Va.
