Peggy Hanks Harrison

July 31, 1937 — January 9, 2022

Peggy H. Harrison departed this world on Sunday, January 9, 2022 to join her beloved husband, Robert S. Harrison; and her loving mother and father, Frances T. and John William Hanks, Jr. She was born in Hopewell, VA on July 31, 1937 and lived there her entire life. She is survived by her sister, Alice H. Baggett of Colonial Heights; a brother, Page E. Hanks (Janice) of Richmond; two nephews, Joseph E. Hanks of Richmond and Lt. Col (USAF) Evan T. Hanks (Rachel) of Shreveport, LA; and a number of cousins. Peggy grew up in the Woodlawn area and completed her education and graduated from West End Christian School in Hopewell. At an early age she accepted Christ while being a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She loved to pass her time talking to anyone, as she was never at a loss for words, listening to music, watching TV, crocheting and reading. She especially loved to read her Bible. She has lived at Brighter Living Assisted Living for the last several years of her life. The family would like to thank the staff at Brighter Living for the care they provided to Peggy while she was there. All services will be private due to the spread of Covid-19. A private entombment will take place at Dale Memorial Park in Chesterfield, VA. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com
