Peggy Nelson Hunt

Peggy Nelson Hunt, 66, went to be with her Savior on December 18, 2023. She grew up in Virginia Beach, VA, and always considered herself a "beach girl". She came to the Richmond area in 1985 to work in the banking and finance field and made her permanent home here. In 2016, she moved to Chester with her sister, Linda. Even though her physical abilities diminished as the Muscular dystrophy progressed, she never lost interest in the world around her. She loved to hear people's stories and wasn't shy about asking probing questions! In the last few years, she was particularly interested in the works of Mercy Ships. She understood better than most the challenges of life with disabilities. She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Dare Nelson; and mother, Deborah Holloman Nelson. She is survived by her sister, Linda Nelson Trumbo (Rick), of Chester; and her brother, Kevin Dare Nelson (Sue), of Ohio. She has six nieces and a nephew who will miss her. She will also be greatly missed by her church family at Crown and Joy Presbyterian Church. Memorial donations can be made to Mercy Ships.
