Peggy Allen Jones

Peggy Allen Jones, 66, of Dinwiddie passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Born June 17, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Richard Arthur and Bernice Keathley Allen, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Dickie Allen. She worked as an area supervisor for Phillip Morriss for 35 years before finally retiring. Peggy enjoyed cooking and cherished her time spent with her loving family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and sewing and fishing in Nags Head. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Ronald Wayne Jones; two sons, Jason Matthew Jones and wife, Charlene, Ronald Steven Jones and wife, Lisa; two grandchildren, Griffin Matthew Jones, Sydney LeeAnna Jones; brother, Floyd Allen and wife, Margaret; two sisters, Carol Baker and husband, Charlie, Suzy Hopkins and husband, Ron; and numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and many friends. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Homes, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
