Peggy Taylor

Peggy Church Taylor, 74, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. She retired from John Randolph Medical Center as a Dietary Aide after twenty plus years of service. Mrs. Taylor was a member of South Hopewell Church of God. She enjoyed her dog Peppy, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren, other family, and friends. Mrs. Taylor is preceded by her parents, Fred G. and Gladys M. Buchanan Church; her husband, Alex J. Taylor; brother, Fred Jr.; and sisters, Hazel, June, and Eula Mae. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Berger, Brenda Smith and husband Jeffrey Sr., and Susan Bradshaw; son and caregiver, Michael Taylor; grandchildren, Shawn, Jeffrey Jr., Christopher, Johnathan, Jessica, and Sarah; great grandchild on the way, Noah; special niece, Linda Frye; lifelong friend, Mary Jane Chapman; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thurman Collier officiating.
