Percy Sheffield

Percy Elmore Sheffield, age 64, of Sutherland, VA, passed from this world on Friday, September 11, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident in Sutherland. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Ann Mills Sheffield; sons, Alan Mills Sheffield and wife, Heather, and Ryan Mills Sheffield and wife, Dana; daughter, Lisa Jones; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Sheffield and his sisters, Joyce Leimberger, Bernice Martin, and Brenda Brown. Born and raised in Petersburg, Percy was the son of the late Percy H. and Lila Mitchell Sheffield. Percy loved people, classic cars and oldies music. Working on his cars, dancing, and visiting Jimmy Olgers and pals were his past times. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, September 14th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T.
