Peter Covington

Peter W. Covington II died January 9, 2006. He was born in Chesterfield County and was the son of the late Henry and Virginia Covington. Mr. Covington owned and operated Covington Bros. Feed and Seed with brother Oliver for over 47 Years. He was a life long member of Tabb St. Presbyterian Church in Petersburg. He is survived by a wife, Florence K. Covington of Petersburg, Va. Two children, Peter W. Covington III and wife Valerie of Hardyville, Va and Lisa C. Lavery and husband Michael of Midlothian, Va. Two brothers, Oliver Covington of Petersburg, and Thomas Covington of Atlanta, GA. One Sister, Louise Elder of Colonial Heights, Va. and three grandchildren, Matt Covington of Radford, Va. and Sean and Taylor Lavery of Midlothian. The family of Mr. Covington will receive friends on Thursday, January 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chesterfield location of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Graveside services will follow on Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer?s association.
