Philip Legerton Jones Sr.

Philip Legerton Jones Sr., 91, of Richmond, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Mr. Jones served for eight years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Jones and Minnie Virginia Moore Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Joyce Anne Marie Jones “Nancy”; eleven children, Philip Legerton Jones “Bubba” and his wife, Barbara, Garland Dale Jones “Nick” and his wife, Gail, Lecia Marie Jones, Holly Anne Huth and her husband, David, Kimberly Anne Schuchart and her husband, Keith, Mary Virginia Chocklett and her husband, Garrett, Toby Matthew Jones and his wife, Kimberly, Monica Lee Wilkerson and her husband, Sean, Forrest Daniel Jones and his wife, Sherry, Barnaby Patrick Jones, and Brad Elliott Jones; thirty-five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Franklin D. Jones and his wife, Jane; and other loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia.
