Phillip M. â??Boâ? Rudy, 70, of Prince George Co. died Tuesday, September 1, 2009. He was the son of the late Henry Ernest Rudy, Jr. and Katie Lou Grigg Rudy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He retired from Brenco after 20 years of dedicated service, was a self-employed contractor for ten years, with the last eight years employed with Hopewell Hardwood and a volunteer fireman for Prince George Company 1, an avid Nascar race fan, favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt and his son Mike who races at Southside Speedway, also loved to hunt, fish and play the lottery, most of all he adored his grandchildren and his beloved dogs Lacey and Bentley. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Carolyn A. Rudy; daughter, Kelley Dean; son, Michael Rudy and wife, Kristy; two grandchildren, Christopher and Cody Dean; sister, Doris Rudy Hopkins; brother, John O. Rudy and wife, Evelyn; sister, Edna Lucille Lane and husband, Larry; many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; aunt, Lorene Stewart and husband, William. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woods United Methodist Church Cemetery in Matoaca, VA. Condolences may be registered at
